Dr. Cresta Jones joined the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Medical College of Wisconsin as an assistant professor in August, 2010. She received her medical degree from Medical College of Wisconsin in 2001. She completed both her residency in obstetrics and gynecology and fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the University of Vermont from 2001 to 2008. Dr. Jones’ practice includes high risk obstetrics, prenatal diagnosis and opiate dependence in pregnancy. Procedures that she provides include first trimester aneuploidy screening (nuchal translucency), amniocentesis, and cerclage.
Dr. Jones’ current research includes opiate dependence in pregnancy. She was involved in pregnancy induced changes in vascular responsivity and the effects of sildenafil on uterine artery reactivity and flow research prior to her joining the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
