Biography

Dr. Kimberly Stepien is an ophthalmologist with subspecialty training in medical retinal diseases such as age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and inherited retinal degenerations. Dr. Stepien earned her bachelor’s degree and medical degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She completed her ophthalmology residency at Albany Medical Center in New York and fellowship training at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, Florida.  Dr. Stepien is currently an associate professor of ophthalmology at the Medical College of Wisconsin and has been honored as one of the “Best Doctors in America.” Originally from Wisconsin, Dr. Stepien is glad to be home again among her fellow Wisconsinites. When not taking care of eyeballs, she enjoys exploring the outdoors with her husband and twin daughters by biking, running, cross-country skiing, and sledding.
